CUET PG 2026 Chemistry – Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Dates, Fees

1. What is CUET PG ?

CUET (PG) – Common University Entrance Test (Post Graduation) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into Postgraduate (PG) programs across Central Universities, State Universities, Deemed Universities, and other Participating Institutions.

For Chemistry students, CUET PG is the gateway to M.Sc. Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and other interdisciplinary science programs.

CUET PG 2026 scores will be valid for admission to the academic session 2026–27 only.

2. Who Conducts CUET PG?

CUET PG is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

NTA’s responsibilities include:
– Online Registration
– Conducting CBT Exam
– Releasing Answer Key
– Result Declaration
– Score Card Issuance

Note: NTA does NOT conduct counseling or admissions. Universities handle admissions separately.

Marking Scheme:
+4 for correct answer
-1 for incorrect answer
0 for unattempted questions

6. Chemistry Question Paper Code

QP Code: SCQP08 – Chemistry

Students must carefully select the correct question paper code during application.

7. Medium of Question Paper

Science subjects including Chemistry are conducted in bilingual mode (English & Hindi).
The English version is considered final in case of discrepancy.

8. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have:
– Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field OR
– Be appearing in final year Bachelor’s examination in 2026

There is no age limit. However, students must verify university-specific eligibility criteria.

9. Application Fee Structure (Up to 2 Test Papers)

General: ₹1400
OBC-NCL / EWS: ₹1200
SC / ST / Third Gender: ₹1100
PwD / PwBD: ₹1000
Outside India: ₹7000

Additional test paper fees apply.

10. How to Apply (Step-by-Step)

Step 1 – Registration
Create login and generate Application Number.

Step 2 – Fill Application Form
Select SCQP08 (Chemistry), choose exam cities, upload photograph & signature.

Step 3 – Fee Payment
Pay online. Confirmation page is generated after successful payment.

Important: Only ONE application form per candidate is allowed.

11. Normalization Process

If the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, NTA uses Percentile-Based Normalization.
Final Score is NTA Score (not raw marks).

12. Reservation Policy

Reservation categories include:
SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwBD

Final implementation depends on university-specific policies.

13. Admit Card & Exam Day Instructions

– Admit Card downloadable from NTA website
– No admit card sent by post
– Bring printed Admit Card, passport photo, valid photo ID, and transparent ball pen
– Report 90 minutes before exam

14. Unfair Means – Strict Action

Use of electronic devices, impersonation, fake documents, or malpractice can lead to:
– Debarment up to 3 years
– Criminal action

15. Result & Admission Process

– Result declared on NTA website
– No re-evaluation allowed
– Score valid for current session only

Universities release merit lists and conduct counseling separately.
NTA does NOT conduct counseling.
